Ability
Which champion does this ability belong to?

The icon gains color in 3 more miss(es)
About Ability Mode
Ability leans on the visual memory of anyone who logs hours on the Rift. The screen shows a single League of Legends skill icon — it could be the passive or any of the Q, W, E or R keys — cropped from the HUD and served in black and white, with no name, no tooltip, nothing to give the owner away.
It's precisely the lack of color and context that makes the mode treacherous. Those little squares you click on autopilot mid-game disguise themselves nicely when they show up isolated and in grayscale. With each wrong guess the icon recovers a bit of its original color, and that's when the silhouette, the effect and the artwork start to betray which champion it came from.
Recognizing the artwork isn't the end: the mode rewards people who master the character's kit with an extra step. After nailing the champion, you try to name which key the ability belongs to — passive, Q, W, E or R. It's the difference between knowing who the champion is and actually having played them.
Since the answer is refreshed each dawn and lands the same for everyone, you can dare the group: same icon, same difficulty, and a race to see who calls the right key with the least color revealed on screen.
Frequently asked questions
Which ability can come up on a given day?
Any of the five: the passive or one of the actives Q, W, E and R. They all enter the draw with equal weight, so you can't rule out the passive from the start.
Why does the icon start colorless?
To level the difficulty. In black and white you judge by shape and composition alone; color returns gradually with each miss, and with it come the clues about the ability's theme and energy.
What is the key bonus?
A second question, after the champion: identifying whether that icon is the passive, Q, W, E or R. It's optional, doesn't touch your streak and proves you know the kit from the inside.
