About Ability Mode
Ability Mode challenges you to recognize the day's League of Legends champion from a single ability icon — passive, Q, W, E or R — shown in black and white. With every miss, the icon gets closer to its colored version.
It's the favorite mode of long-time LoL players: ability icons burn into your memory from years on the HUD, but stripped of color and context they get surprisingly hard.
After guessing the champion, there's still the bonus round: guessing which key the ability belongs to.

Can the ability be the passive?
Yes. The daily draw picks from all five of the champion's abilities: passive, Q, W, E and R.
When does the icon get its color?
After a few misses the icon leaves black and white and shows up in color, becoming much easier to recognize.
Does the key bonus count for anything?
The bonus doesn't affect your streak — it's an extra win for those who truly know the champion.
