About Classic Mode
Classic Mode deduces the agent of the day by elimination: you guess a name from the roster and the grid answers by comparing five attributes at a time. It's the most analytical Valorant format in Guess the Champ, built for players who enjoy cross-referencing clues and tightening the net guess after guess.
The five columns are role, country of origin, gender, type and debut year. Blue marks an attribute identical to the secret agent's; no color means it differs. The year column also shows an arrow — up if the hidden agent joined the game after your guess, down if earlier — turning every attempt into a quantitative lead.
It pays to think in role blocks: Duelists like Jett and Raze come in to frag, Controllers like Omen and Brimstone seal off angles with smoke, Initiators like Sova and Fade crack the site open with information, and Sentinels like Killjoy and Cypher lock down retakes. A single blue in the role column already cuts the roster in half.
The agent resets at midnight UTC and is the same for everyone, so you can compare how many guesses each friend needed to close it. Guess as often as you like: the score that matters is how few attempts it took to nail the right agent.
Frequently asked questions
How do I use the country column to eliminate agents?
Origin narrows things fast if you know the lore: Sova and KAY/O tied to Russia, Raze to Brazil, Killjoy to Germany, Jett to South Korea. A blue in that column usually leaves very few candidates standing.
Does the roster fall out of date?
No. It tracks Riot's releases: every new agent enters the draw as soon as it launches, and the attributes come from the project's own curation.
What does Riot mean by the agent's “type”?
It's the nature of their power in the story: Radiants are born with abilities, humans rely on radianite and technology, and there are edge cases like the robot KAY/O. It works as one more filter in the grid.
