About Skin Mode
Skin Mode starts from an extreme crop of a skin's artwork and asks you to identify the weapon underneath it. The answer is never the collection's name: it's the weapon itself — Vandal, Phantom, Operator, Sheriff, Spectre, the knife and so on. With every miss the framing pulls back, revealing more silhouette and more clues about the shape.
Skins are a chapter of their own in Valorant. Lines like Reaver, Prime, Elderflame, Glitchpop and Champions turn the same weapon into completely different objects, with animated finishes, color variants and effects that change how you read them. That craftsmanship is what makes the tight zoom so treacherous early in the round.
The clue lives in the details: the curve of the magazine, the proportion of the barrel, the shape of the stock. An Elderflame dragon or Glitchpop neon can throw you off, but the geometry beneath the art always betrays whether it's a rifle, an SMG or a pistol. Training your eye for those shapes is half the game.
Once you call the weapon, the full artwork appears — and there's an extra challenge for collectors: guessing which collection that skin came from. This bonus is optional and scores no points, but it's where the players who spend hours in the store and the cosmetics vault truly shine.

Is the answer the skin or the weapon?
Always the weapon. The skin's collection is saved for the bonus guess, played only after you've correctly named the weapon.
Do animated-effect skins get in the way?
They can mislead at first, but they work in your favor as the zoom opens up: signatures like Elderflame's fire or Glitchpop's neon are strong tells that help you land the collection in the bonus.
How are the images prepared?
They come from the official assets published by valorant-api.com, a public community-maintained API. The game only crops and enlarges the art; no color or texture is altered.
