About Emoji Mode
Emoji is the most playful of the daily challenges. The day's card gets translated into a row of hand-built emojis, ordered from the most cryptic to the most blatant. You start seeing only the first symbol, and with each miss another one lights up — as if the riddle were whispering the answer bit by bit.
Every sequence is pure curation, not automatic generation. The first emoji almost always points to an inside joke, a pun on the name or a hidden detail of the card; the middle ones deal with looks and function; and the last is usually an almost obvious giveaway. Reading that progression is part charades, part Clash Royale knowledge.
The best clues are the ones that reward intimacy with the game. The Mini P.E.K.K.A opens with 🥞 thanks to its famous line about pancakes; the Phoenix starts with 🥚 long before any flame shows up. Catch those references on the first symbol and you close the challenge with a single emoji on the table — the mode's ultimate feat.
As in the other cartridges, the day's card is unique and shared by everyone until midnight (UTC) rolls around, so there's no point hunting for tomorrow's answer. When you solve it, your run of attempts becomes a block of emojis ready for the group chat, proving how many steps it took you to crack it without ruining the surprise for anyone.
Frequently asked questions
Do all the emojis appear at once?
No. You only see the first at the start; each wrong guess unlocks the next in the sequence, which runs three to five symbols ordered from the most abstract to the most direct.
Do the clues follow any rule?
They follow the card's identity: mechanics, looks and above all the jokes and lines Supercell created for it. That's why the first emoji is often a reference only longtime players catch right away.
Can any card be the day's card in this mode?
Only cards that already have a hand-curated emoji sequence enter the draw. Today that covers the entire collection, and each new card gets its riddle before it becomes draftable.
