Minecraft — Block

Which block is this? The texture opens up with every miss.

The texture gains resolution after each miss

The ideal tool is revealed in 4 more miss(es)

About Block Mode

In Block Mode, a Minecraft block texture shows up nearly unrecognizable — a 2×2 mosaic — and gains resolution with every miss, up to the full 16×16 texture on the sixth. Do you know the game's blocks well enough to call it before that?

The pool is a curated set of one-hundred-plus iconic blocks: ores, classic building blocks, functional ones and the Nether and End celebrities. Stuck? On the fourth miss the game reveals the ideal tool to harvest the block, and on the seventh, the dimension where it's found.

Like in the other modes, the block is the same for every player, changes at midnight (UTC), and your result becomes a shareable, spoiler-free emoji grid.

Frequently asked questions

How much does the image open up per miss?

The resolution climbs one step per wrong guess (2×2 → 3×3 → 4×4 → 6×6 → 8×8 → 12×12) and the full texture appears on the sixth miss.

What hints does the mode give?

Two: the ideal tool to harvest the block (on the fourth miss) and the dimension where it occurs (on the seventh). No letter hints — the challenge is visual.

Does every Minecraft block enter the draw?

No — only a curated set of iconic blocks that can be recognized by texture. Color and wood variants stay out to keep the challenge fair.
